How to drive Automatic Transmission Car - AMT, CVT, Torque Converter and DCT/DSG Cars - Drive a DSG Car

Driving an automatic transmission car is relatively easy and requires less manual shifting compared to a manual transmission car. Here are the basic steps:

  1. Adjust the seat, mirrors, and steering wheel to your comfort.
  2. Fasten your seatbelt.
  3. Turn the key or press the start button to start the engine.
  4. Shift the gear lever to "Drive" (D) mode.
  5. Accelerate by pressing down on the gas pedal.
  6. Brake by pressing down on the brake pedal to slow down or stop the car.
  7. Change gears using the gear lever, if necessary. The transmission will automatically select the appropriate gear based on your speed and driving conditions.
  8. Remember to follow traffic rules and signals, and use turn signals when changing lanes or turning.

Note: Always check your vehicle's owner manual for specific instructions and driving guidelines, as some cars may have different control systems and features.
